"The Mages Guild at Fern Owls Place"

Helping others create a better life through magic.

About This Site

Greetings and welcome to Fern Owls Place Mages Guild. This section of our web site is being set up to help us share some of our knowledge with the community that we serve. Thanks to the internet and this blog software, we can have an entire, interactive section on our site, specifically for magic and all the things that go into making magic.

We teach a non-denominational form of magic because it has become obvious that magic does not have religious boundaries. Magic spells work for everyone, from any religious background including those that do not believe their is any type of a creator involved in our being here.

When you add in the fact that almost every religion on earth has some type of magic ritual involved in their workings and it become almost impossible to accept that there is no such thing as magic. So everyone, no matter what path you are on is welcome here. We urge you to join the group and share your knowledge, spells and information with everyone and together we can build the largest digital collection of magical information in the world.

Is Magic Real?

I can personally with 100% surety answer the question, Is Magic Real, with a resounding YES. Magic has two huge problems that we are slowly but surely overcoming.

1) When you ask some with deep religious beliefs, is magic real, they answer out of the fear that has been placed in them by misunderstandings than began prior to the middle ages and have been brought forward through a rehashing and repackaging to the fears for all of these years.

2) The average person on the street, beginning with very small children and going all the way up to very mature folks such as myself, when you ask them is magic real, they answer out of knowledge they have obtained through less than truthful sources (ie movies & books).

This is an area that will be discussed in much greater details in the regular post areas of our site and each section is completed.

Rest assured the average person on the street has a view of magic that is vastly different than what it really is. This is one reason I will not teach person younger than 16, because they have no matured enough to understand it just does not happen the way it does in anime cartoons or the movies.

Religion or Natural Birth Right?

One of the major misconceptions regarding magic is that you have to be a Wiccan to practice magic. That is actually far from the truth. Magic is an act, not a religion. In fact, magic works for everyone, even those that do not believe in religion or any type of supreme creator being.

Wicca is a religion and most of the people that consider themselves to be Wiccans, also practice magic. But that does not make magic belong only to the religion of Wicca.

Most of the religious rituals performed in the Churches, Synagogs and Temples of all the so called book religions, are using magic on a regular basis. Saying it is not magic does not make it true.

In future discussions we will go into much more details about the individual rituals within various religions that are truly a form of magic.
